We are passionate about salsa! That's why, many years ago, we decided that not only would we promote our salsa classes and events but we would provide a central information point to keep everyone fully informed on every class, every event and every scrap of salsa news we can lay our hands on!
That policy has resulted in our website being the main reference point for salseros across the South West of England!
Welcome to the family!
A bit about Salsa Kernow in particular...
We teach salsa and we organise dance nights - that pretty much sums up what we do!
Supporting salsa in the South West
We believe that an active and vibrant salsa scene in the South West is important so we created this website to promote all the classes and dancenights in the region.
This website has been running since around 2003 and is now the information hub for salsa in the SW - with over 60,000 visits to the website each year we think this is a justifiable claim!
Our classes have run at various venues in Cornwall and Devon - we're running currently classes and courses at the Edgemoor Hotel, just outside Bovey Tracey in Devon, and at the Barley SHeaf in Bodmin, Cornwall.
We teach Cross-Body salsa On1 plus the occasional bit of Rueda, Bachata and Cha Cha.
In addition to our planned dancenights (two or three each year) we also run Secret Salsa - these run at very short notice to fill last minute gaps in the diary of dancenights - if you want to know when Secret Salsa is running make sure to subscribe to our newsletter!
The Salsa Kernow team
Salsa Kernow is me, Ian Cox, most ably supported by some of the best salsa dancers in the region...
